878544-B21 is a special-build HPE option that PartSurfer files under "HPE Server Solid State Drives". Its one spare, 878678-001, is a 480GB SATA solid state drive in the 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF) at 6G, Mixed Use (MU), with a non-hot-plug (NHP) carrier and digitally signed firmware (DS).
The where-used list for 878678-001 holds four records: two drive records named "HPE 480GB 6G SATA MU SFF NHP DS Spl SSD" (one with a ZHPE prefix) and two ProLiant DL360 Gen9 special builds, DL360G9-028534-AX and DL360G9-029599-AX, both marked w/DMR. No HPE QuickSpecs lists this option, so its documented fit is those DL360 Gen9 builds.
HPE's spare description settles the carrier type: the drive is non-hot-plug, so it is not a hot-plug tray drive despite the RW wording in some listings.
Fit check: a non-hot-plug 2.5-inch SATA position, as in the DL360 Gen9 builds above. 881975-B21 is a 960GB MU special whose HPE spare uses a smart carrier (SC) instead, and 854522-B21 is an 800GB MU non-hot-plug option with power loss protection (PLP).
