The PERC H730P RAID Controller from Dell offers reliability and performance in addition to providing management with the tolerant disk subsystem failures. This RAID controller offers expandable 2GB storage capacity to improve the performance of your server systems. The double module channel provides high-speed connectivity.

Supported RAID levels:
- RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6
- RAID spans 10, 50, 60

The H730 supports up to 64 virtual disks, so it could support 64x4 drive RAID 10s.

How it works:
The ports on the 7H4CN connect to a drive bay backplane. The backplane has a SAS expander that multiplexes the signals to the physical drives.
