- Specifications
Within the 5100 Mainstream range, the 480 GB drive is the Lenovo version of the Micron 5100 MAX, a different Micron family from its larger siblings. Its Lenovo spare number is 01GT754, and the option it matches is 7SD7A05759 with feature code B112, named ThinkSystem 3.5-inch 5100 480GB Mainstream SATA 6Gb hot-swap SSD.
Flash is triple-level cell 3D NAND on a 6 Gbps SATA interface, with S.M.A.R.T. support, AES 256-bit encryption and an absence of moving parts. Endurance at this capacity is 5.0 drive writes per day over 5 years, which equals 4400 TB of total bytes written.
The 4 KB ratings are 93,000 IOPS for reads and 74,000 IOPS for writes. For 128 KB sequential work the drive reads at 540 MBps and writes at 460 MBps, each with 500 µs latency. MTBF is 2,000,000 hours, data reliability is better than 1 in 10^17 bits read, and typical power is 4.5 W. The drive withstands 1,500 G of non-operating shock at 0.5 ms and operates between 0 and 70°C.
Other capacities of the 3.5-inch hot-swap 5100 Mainstream drive carry these option numbers: 240GB is 7SD7A05760, 960GB is 7SD7A05758, 1.92TB is 7SD7A05757 and 3.84TB is 7SD7A05756.
