4XG7A15887 (feature code B4HB) is the Intel Xeon Platinum 8260 processor option for the ThinkSystem SR650, supplied without a fan. It has 24 cores and 48 threads, a 2.4 GHz base clock with Turbo Boost up to 3.9 GHz, and a 165 W TDP.
The 8260 carries 35.75 MB of L3 cache and 10.4 GT/s UPI links, and it drives DDR4 memory at up to 2933 MHz with up to 1 TB of memory per socket. Hyper-Threading, Turbo Boost, VT-x and VT-d are all supported. It has two FMA units for AVX-512 work, supports Intel Optane DC persistent memory, and carries Advanced RAS. Speed Select (SST-PP) is not part of this model.
SR650 models that ship with one processor take the second as an option. The second processor must be the same model as the first, and the option comes with a heatsink but without a system fan, so a fan is a separate part. Variants with larger memory ceilings are 4XG7A15885 (8260M, 2 TB per socket) and 4XG7A15883 (8260L, 4.5 TB per socket), while 4XG7A37901 (8260Y) adds Speed Select with 24, 20 or 16 active cores.
