- Description
- Specifications
A 48-port data access switch from the Cisco Catalyst 9200L line, the fixed-uplink models of the Catalyst 9200 Series. It has 48 copper data ports without PoE and four fixed 1/10G uplink ports. Cisco rates it at 176 Gbps of switching capacity and 130.95 Mpps forwarding. The default power supply is the PWR-C5-125WAC, and the fans are fixed and redundant.
The -E suffix means Network Essentials: foundational Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, automation, visibility and security. The -A model has Network Advantage, which adds advanced routing, segmentation, multicast, scale and security features. Cisco states the Network Essentials or Advantage licence is included with the hardware, while the Cisco DNA or Catalyst software subscription is a separate term licence at a matching tier.
Stacking uses StackWise-80 at 80 Gbps through the C9200L-STACK-KIT, with up to 8 members. A stack can only contain other C9200L models at the same licence level; Cisco does not support stacking 9200L units with modular C9200 models or with Catalyst 2960-X switches.
The chassis is 1RU at 1.73 x 17.5 x 11.3 in and weighs 9.97 lb (4.53 kg), and Cisco gives an MTBF of 503,400 hours. The PoE+ twin is the C9200L-48P-4X.
Cisco's Catalyst 9200 end-of-life listing showed only software-release and licence notices, with no hardware end-of-sale notice, when checked in October 2026.
Before adding one to an existing stack, check the members' model family and licence level, since both must match.
