377CF is the Dell part number for a 300GB 12Gb/s SAS 2.5 inch drive built on the Toshiba AL14SXB30ENY, the smallest capacity in the AL14SXB family of 15,000 rpm drives. Toshiba positions the family for tiered mission critical storage, hybrid arrays, rack optimized data centers and servers that host transaction based applications.
Model AL14SXB30ENY has 512n sectors with block lengths of 512, 520, 524 and 528 B, plus the Sanitize Instant Erase option shown by the Y suffix. The SAS-3.0 interface runs at up to 12.0 Gbit/s, the average latency is 2.0 ms, the buffer is 128 MiB, and sustained transfer on 512n models is 259 MiB/s. The family's low latency comes from the 15,000 rpm spindle.
Maximum write and read power is 9.0 W and typical active idle power is 5.6 W. The drive operates from 5 to 55 C, produces 33 dB typical sound power at idle, and is rated for 2,000,000 hours MTTF. Operating shock is 980 m/s2 for 2 ms, and altitude can run from minus 305 m to 3,048 m.
Other Dell drives of this type include the 1W7HC and the GWFRY; the Dell PowerEdge server parts hub leads to more.
