IBM feature #ES94 is a 387 GB Enterprise SAS 4k SFF-2 SSD for AIX/Linux with CCIN 5B10. It is available for the IBM Power L922 (9008-22L), the Power S922, S914 and S924 (9009-22A, 9009-41A and 9009-42A), the Power E950 (9040-MR9), the Power E980 (9080-M9S) and the Power H922 (9223). The drive is built for the Gen2 (SFF-2) carrier, which is the carrier used by the 24 hot-plug 2.5-inch SAS bays of the EXP24SX storage enclosure, a 2 EIA unit.
The maximum quantity is 336 on the L922, S922, S914, S924 and H922, 768 on the E950 and 2016 on the E980. The L922 runs the drive under Linux. The S922, S914, S924, E950 and E980 support it under AIX and Linux, and the H922 supports IBM i as well as AIX and Linux. On the E950 and E980 the feature can be placed on the initial order or added later as an MES upgrade. The E950 system unit has SFF-3 internal bays and only the EXP24SX bays are SFF-2.
CCIN 5B10 is also ordered as #ESBA (AIX/Linux) and as #ES95 and #ESBB (IBM i), and feature #ER94 is a quantity of 150 of this drive.
