In Lenovo's ordering tables 00AJ450 is the 800GB SATA 3.5" MLC HS Enterprise Value SSD, feature code A57J. It is 800GB, 3.5-inch and ships on a 3.5-inch hot-swap tray.
Lenovo bases this Enterprise Value generation on the Micron M500DC family: Micron 20 nm MLC NAND, a 6 Gbps SATA interface, enterprise data path protection, static and dynamic wear leveling, native command queuing and S.M.A.R.T. The drives also support the MegaRAID CacheCade feature of supported ServeRAID controllers.
Specifications for 00AJ450: 1.9 PB total bytes written, 65,000 read and 24,000 write IOPS (4 KB), 425 MBps sequential read and 375 MBps sequential write (128 KB), 6.3 W typical power, data reliability below 1 in 10^15 bits read.
Lenovo rates the line at up to 2.4 drive writes per day over five years and recommends it for read-intensive work or mixes of up to 70% read and 30% write. Its example: a 480GB drive limited to 1,040 GB of writes per day, about 2.2 full drive writes, lasts five years inside its 1.9 PB rating. All drives in the guide are withdrawn from marketing.
Lenovo documents support in these servers: the x3500 M5 (5464), x3550 M5 (5463 and 8869), x3650 M5 (5462 and 8871) and the x3630 M4 with E5-2400 v2 processors. Lenovo's Configuration and Options Guide of 17 January 2017 also lists it for the same M5 servers, marked with an asterisk as withdrawn.
Fit check: confirm the server is on the list and the bay is a 3.5-inch hot-swap bay; the label should carry 00AJ450 or FC A57J. Other sizes: 00AJ445, 00AJ440.
