N3K-C3048TP-1GE is the Cisco Nexus 3048 switch, with 48 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports and 4 1/10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports. Cisco rates it at 176 Gbps of switching capacity and a forwarding rate of 132 Mpps.
The switch has 9 MB of shared buffers, 2 GB of boot flash and room for 128,000 MAC addresses and up to 4,096 VLANs. It has two redundant power supplies and one fan tray with redundant fans. Typical power is 120 W and maximum is 124 W. Forward airflow is port-side exhaust and reversed airflow is port-side intake.
It measures 1.72 x 17.3 x 19.7 in (4.4 x 43.9 x 50.5 cm) and weighs 20.5 lb (9.3 kg). The Nexus 3000 series is supported by Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0 and later.
Cisco announced end-of-sale on February 3, 2020; the end-of-sale date is August 3, 2020 and the last date of support is August 31, 2025. Cisco names the N9K-C92348GC-X as the replacement.
