Cisco's UCS C220 M5 SFF spec sheet lists UCSC-FAN-C220M5= as the C220 M5 Fan Module (one), ordered as a spare. The C220 M5 is a 1RU rack server, and the spec sheet gives its cooling as seven hot-swappable fans for front-to-rear cooling; this part is one of those seven.
Because the fans are hot-swappable, a failed module can be replaced while the server runs. The fans cool a chassis that also holds up to two hot-swappable power supplies (770 W, 1050 W or 1600 W AC, or 1050 W DC), with one supply mandatory and a second for 1+1 redundancy.
The same spare-parts section lists the other field-replaceable items around the fans, including the UCSC-HS-C220M5 heat sink for CPUs of 150 W and below, the UCSC-HS2-C220M5 heat sink for CPUs above 150 W, and the UCSC-RISER-220M5 PCIe riser.
Order one module per failed fan, and confirm the server is a C220 M5; the C240 M5 and later C220 generations take different fan part numbers.
Cisco lists this as a single C220 M5 fan module ordered as a spare; UCSC-C220-M5L is a C220 M5 server in Cisco UCS C220 M5 and B200 M5 spare parts.
