P02497-B21 appears in the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 QuickSpecs as the Intel Xeon-Gold 5217 (3.0GHz/8-core/115W) Processor Kit. HPE lists the same processor as P02497-L21 for factory installation as the first processor.
The 5217 runs at 3.0 GHz with eight cores, 11 MB of L3 cache and a 115 W TDP. The QuickSpecs table gives it two UPI links at 10.4 GT/s and DDR4 memory at 2666 MT/s, with 1 TB per socket. In the QuickSpecs inlet-temperature tables for the 4LFF mid-tray, the 5217 is grouped with the other 115 W processor, the 6128.
The ordering note for P02497-B21 states that it does not ship with the Performance Heatsink. HPE PartSurfer, however, lists the 875071-001 high performance heat sink with this kit, together with the 875075-001 standard fan module and the P11611-001 processor spare.
Per the QuickSpecs, an 8SFF 1P CTO server ships with four standard fans, and a second processor option kit adds two more.
Fit check: confirm which heat sink arrives with the kit, since the QuickSpecs and PartSurfer differ.
The Gold 5217 trades cores for clock at 3.0 GHz and 115 W; P02498-B21 and P02496-B21 sit beside it in HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 spare parts.
