A fanless 1RU managed switch from the Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series, aimed at small business and branch networks. It has 24 x 10/100/1000 copper ports with 802.3af/802.3at (PoE+) and a 195 W PoE budget, plus 4 x 1G SFP uplinks. Switching capacity is 56 Gbps with a forwarding rate of 41.67 Mpps.
Layer 3 features include IPv4 and IPv6 routing, RIP v2, policy-based routing, a DHCP server and DHCP relay; OSPF is reserved for the 1300X models. It is managed through a web UI, a full CLI, SNMP, Cisco Business Dashboard or the Cisco Business mobile app. Worst-case draw is 27.1 W at 110 V without PoE, rising to 233.2 W with full PoE load.
Siblings: the C1300-24T-4G has the same ports without PoE; the C1300-24FP-4X raises the PoE budget to 370 W and moves to 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks; and the C1300-24P-4X keeps the 195 W budget with 10G SFP+ uplinks. The 4X models are the ones Cisco lists as stackable, up to 8 units; this 4G model is not on Cisco's stackable list.
To size a replacement, total the PoE draw of the attached phones, cameras or access points: 195 W covers six devices at the full 30 W PoE+ class.
