The 48-port PoE+ model in the Cisco Catalyst 1300 Series of managed switches for small business and branch networks. It has 48 x 10/100/1000 copper ports with 802.3af and 802.3at (PoE+) power, plus 4 x 1G SFP uplinks. Cisco's ordering table gives a 370 W PoE budget; the specification table lists 375 W.
Switching capacity is 104 Gbps and the forwarding rate is 77.38 Mpps. Unlike the fanless 24-port PoE model, it has one fan, rated at 37.3 dBA at 25°C, which matters if it will sit in an office rather than a closet. Worst-case draw is 44.81 W at 110 V without PoE and 450.65 W at full PoE load; heat output at full load is 1537.68 BTU/hr.
Software matches the rest of the 1300 line: IPv4 and IPv6 routing, RIP v2, policy-based routing and a DHCP server, with management from the web UI, CLI, SNMP or Cisco Business Dashboard. Cisco does not list this model as stackable.
Siblings: the C1300-48T-4G has the same ports without PoE and a quieter 29.7 dBA fan, and the C1300-24P-4G halves the port count with a 195 W budget.
When replacing a unit, add up the PoE load first: 370 W supports about twelve devices at the full 30 W PoE+ class.
