Cisco N9K-C9316D-GX Nexus 9316D Spine Switch, 16 x 400/100G QSFP-DD

N9K-C9316D-GX is the 400G spine switch of the Cisco Nexus 9300-GX series. Cisco orders it as the "N9316D Spine switch with 16p 400/100G QSFP-DD" and rates the 1RU chassis at 12.8 Tbps of bandwidth and over 4.3 bpps.

All 16 ports accept 400, 100 or 40 Gbps optics, and Cisco supports breakout on every port into 2x200, 4x100, 2x100, 8x50, 4x50, 2x50, 4x25 or 4x10. The control plane has a 4-core CPU, 32 GB of system memory, a 128 GB SSD and an 80 MB buffer, with one RJ-45 and one SFP management port.

Cisco's ACI table shows the switch can run as an ACI spine or an ACI leaf, as well as in NX-OS mode. Power is two supplies in 1+1 redundancy, chosen from 1100W AC, 1100W DC or 1100W HVAC/HVDC units, and fans run 5+1 redundant with port-side intake or exhaust airflow. Cisco lists typical power at 420W and maximum at 1010W.
