A 24-port Layer 2 access switch from the Cisco Meraki MS130 line, configured and monitored from the Meraki dashboard. It has 24 x 1G RJ45 ports, 4 x 1G SFP uplinks and a dedicated management port.
Every copper port supports 802.3at PoE+ at up to 30 W, within a 370 W total PoE budget. The fixed internal supply takes 100-240 VAC, and the switch draws 32 W idle and 406 W at full load. It is fan-cooled, rated 0 to 45°C, and has an integrated 1U rack mount. Switching capacity is 56 Gbps.
Siblings in the same 24-port size: the MS130-24 has the same port layout without PoE and is fanless, while the MS130-24X has 18 x 1G plus 6 x 2.5G Multigigabit ports and 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks. Choose the X model if access points need more than 1G.
Licensing has two tiers: LIC-MS130-24-xY for Enterprise and LIC-MS130-24A-xY for Advanced, where x is the term in years. Meraki says Advanced adds only Adaptive Policy, and an organisation on co-termination licensing cannot mix the two tiers. For the SFP uplinks, Meraki lists its MA-SFP-1GB-SX, MA-SFP-1GB-LX10 and MA-SFP-1GB-TX modules.
The unit measures 1.73 x 17.32 x 10 in and weighs 8.91 lb.
A used switch must be released from the previous owner's dashboard organisation and licensed in the new one, so confirm both before installation.
