In Cisco's ordering information, WS-C3850-32XS-E is the IP Services bundle of the 24-port SFP+ Catalyst 3850 with a C3850-NM-8-10G network module and a 715WAC supply.
The 32 in the name is the total of twenty-four SFP+ ports on the switch and eight on the C3850-NM-8-10G.
The WS-C3850-24XS accepts the C3850-NM-4-10G, C3850-NM-8-10G or C3850-NM-2-40G, so the eight-port module can later be swapped for 2 x 40G.
Cisco rates the 24-port SFP+ model at 640 Gbps and 454.55 Mpps, with 48,000 FNF flows, 4 GB DRAM and 4 GB flash.
StackWise-480 provides 480 Gbps of stacking bandwidth, and the chassis measures 1.75 x 17.5 x 17.7 in.
Gigabit Ethernet SFPs work in the same SFP+ receptacles as 10G optics, on both the fixed ports and the module.
