WS-C3850-16XS-S is a Cisco Catalyst 3850 bundle: Cisco's ordering table describes it as the 12 SFP+ port stackable model with the C3850-NM-4-10G module and a 350WAC power supply, 1 RU, IP Base feature set.
The bundle name counts sixteen 10G ports: twelve fixed SFP+ ports plus four from the module, which provides four 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ receptacles.
In Cisco's compatibility matrix the C3850-NM-4-10G is the only network module listed for the WS-C3850-12XS, and Cisco notes that the 4 x 1G and 2 x 10G modules are not supported on the 12- and 24-port SFP+ models.
Performance for the 12-port 10G SFP+ model is 320 Gbps switching capacity and 227.28 Mpps forwarding, with 4 GB DRAM, 4 GB flash and 24,000 Flexible NetFlow entries.
Every SFP+ receptacle accepts both 10 Gigabit and Gigabit Ethernet SFP modules, and the switch stacks with StackWise-480 at 480 Gbps.
