HPE sells P37011-B21 as the HPE 1.92TB SAS 12G Mixed Use SFF SC Value SAS Multi Vendor SSD. HPE PartSurfer maps it to spare P37071-001, a 1.92TB 2.5-inch SAS SSD in a Smart Carrier with digitally signed firmware.
Value SAS is HPE's single-port SAS SSD tier. HPE's SSD QuickSpecs place it above SATA, with roughly twice the IOPS of SATA SSDs, at a typically lower cost than full-performance dual-port SAS SSDs. Mixed Use is the higher-endurance class, for workloads with a larger write share than Read Intensive drives handle.
SC is the HPE Smart Carrier. HPE's carrier decoder lists SFF SC bays for Gen10 servers such as the DL360 and DL380 Gen10, the AMD DL325 and DL385 Gen10 Plus, and the ML350 Gen11. Intel Gen10 Plus and most Gen11 rack servers use the Basic Carrier (BC) instead, and the carriers are not interchangeable.
The BC equivalent in the current QuickSpecs is P40511-B21, a 1.92TB Mixed Use Value SAS drive that HPE rates at 10,000 TB written (3.0 drive writes per day) for Gen10 Plus and Gen11 servers. P37011-B21 itself is no longer in that list. Multi Vendor means HPE ships drives from more than one maker under the number, with each order a homogeneous set from one vendor.
Because Value SAS drives are single-port, the drive uses one SAS path. For dual-path designs choose a dual-port SAS SSD.
To confirm fit, check that your server takes SFF drives in SC carriers and that its controller supports 12G SAS, then match P37071-001 on the drive label if replacing a failed unit.
