Lenovo's ThinkSystem 2.5-inch S4520 7.68TB Read Intensive SATA 6Gb hot-swap SSD is feature code BK78 (option 4XB7A17105). Lenovo Press describes the S4520 as using Intel 144-layer 3D NAND TLC, with improved endurance compared with the S4510 series.
At 7.68TB Lenovo gives 2.6 drive writes per day, or 36.5 PB written, which is high for a Read Intensive SATA drive. Performance is 86,000 random read and 30,000 random write IOPS (4 KB), 550 MBps read and 510 MBps write sequential, with an MTBF of 2 million hours and fewer than 1 in 10^17 bits read as unrecoverable errors. It is not self-encrypting.
Lenovo lists it for servers across three generations: first-generation ThinkSystem (SR630, SR650, SR530, SR550, SR570, SR590, ST550, ST250, SR850, SR860, SR950), V2 (ST650 V2, SR630 V2, SR650 V2, SR670 V2, SR850 V2, SR860 V2, SN550 V2), and V3 (SR630 V3, SR650 V3, SR645 V3, SR665 V3, ST650 V3, ST250 V3, SR250 V3). Siblings in the same 2.5-inch hot-swap line include the 3.84TB 4XB7A17104 (BK77) and 1.92TB 4XB7A17103 (BA7J); a 7mm-tray 7.68TB version is 4XB7A78624 (BM8C), and a 3.5-inch version is 4XB7A17123 (BK7G).
Lenovo Press shows this option as withdrawn. To confirm fit, check the server against Lenovo's list and that the bay takes the standard 2.5-inch hot-swap tray rather than the 7mm tray.
