Feature code CABT (option 4XB7B07602) is the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch VA 3.84TB Read Intensive SAS 24Gb hot-swap SSD. VA (Vendor Agnostic) means Lenovo may fill the option with drives from different makers; every drive in this 24Gb SAS family includes self-encryption (SED) as standard.
Lenovo rates it at 1 drive write per day (7,008 TB written). On a 24Gb SAS link it reaches 380,000 random read and 126,000 random write IOPS (4 KB) and 1,900 MB/s read and 1,800 MB/s write. On 12Gb SAS the random figures drop to 216,000 read and 95,000 write.
Lenovo lists it for current-generation servers: the Intel SR630 V3, SR650 V3, ST650 V3, SR850 V3, SR860 V3, SR950 V3, SR630 V4, SR650 V4, SR650a V4, SR850 V4 and SR860 V4, and the AMD SR635 V3, SR655 V3, SR645 V3, SR665 V3, SD535 V3, SR675 V3, SE455 V3 and SR665. The family runs from 960GB 4XB7B07600 (CABS) to 30.72TB 4XB7B07605 (CABW), with 1.92TB 4XB7B07601 (CABV) and 7.68TB 4XB7B07603 (CABY) on either side of this drive; 3.5-inch versions such as 4XB7B07608 (CAFP) also exist.
Lenovo Press lists it as current. Lenovo notes that self-encrypting drives provide instant secure erasure and auto-locking, which matters when drives are retired, returned or removed from a server. To confirm fit, check the server is on the list and has a SAS-capable 2.5-inch bay; a 24Gb controller gives the full rated speed.
