IEM-3300-8P is the Cisco Catalyst IE3300 Rugged expansion module with eight 10/100/1000 RJ-45 copper ports, all PoE/PoE+. It has no SFP or 2.5G ports. Cisco lists the ordering description as Catalyst IE3300 with 8 GE PoE/PoE+ copper ports, expansion module, and the system reaches 18 ports when the module is attached to a 10-port base.
PoE modules can only be plugged into a PoE base switch. Cisco names the IE-3300-8P2S-E and -A GE PoE bases and the IE-3300-8U2X-E and -A 10G PoE bases. With the all-GE base the combined PoE budget is 360 W, and with a 10G base or an IE3400 PoE base it is up to 480 W. The module can also attach to an IE3400 base, though that pairing does not support SGT/SGACL on the IE3400.
Power consumption is 14 W, measured at 54 V. The module is a single-wide unit for DIN rail mounting, measuring 6 x 2.6 x 5.3 in (15.2 x 6.6 x 13.5 cm) and weighing 2.0 lb (0.91 kg). Cisco rates the MTBF at 2,931,233 hours.
