Cisco Nexus 93180YC-FX3S 48-Port 25G Switch, 6 x 100G QSFP28

N9K-C93180YC-FX3S is the Cisco Nexus 93180YC-FX3S, a 1RU fixed switch with 48 downlink ports that run at 1, 10 or 25 Gbps and six QSFP28 uplink ports that run at 40 or 100 Gbps. It switches 3.6 Tbps and forwards 1.2 billion packets per second.

The control plane has a six-core CPU with up to 32 GB of memory and a 128 GB SSD, and the system buffer is 40 MB. Out-of-band access is by one RJ-45 management port, one USB port and one RS-232 port. The switch also carries GPS timing connections: 1PPS, 10MHz, time of day and an antenna input. MTBF is 288,760 hours.

It takes up to two power supplies: 650W AC (NXA-PAC-650W-PE or NXA-PAC-650W-PI), 930W DC (NXA-PDC-930W-PI or NXA-PDC-930W-PE) or the 1200W HVAC/HVDC N9K-PUV-1200W. Four fans cool the chassis, with port-side intake and exhaust variants: NXA-FAN-35CFM-B is port-side intake and NXA-FAN-35CFM-F is port-side exhaust. Typical power draw is 325 W and the maximum is 600 W.

The chassis measures 1.72 x 17.3 x 19.6 in (4.4 x 43.9 x 49.6 cm) and weighs 21 lb (9.52 kg) without power supplies or fans. The rack kit is NXK-ACC-KIT-1RU.

The minimum NX-OS image is 9.3(5), and ACI mode is not supported on this model. Layer 3 unicast and multicast routing needs a licence: Essentials subscriptions are C1E1TN9300XF-3Y and -5Y, Advantage subscriptions are C1A1TN9300XF-3Y and -5Y, and perpetual licences are NX-OS-ES-XF and NX-OS-AD-XF.
