4XB7A17139 (feature code BA4Y) is the ThinkSystem 3.5-inch S4620 1.92TB Mixed Use SATA 6Gb hot-swap SSD for the 3.5-inch LFF hot-swap tray. The S4620 series combines Intel 3D NAND TLC flash with Intel controller technology, and compared with the Intel S4610 series it offers improved endurance. The drive has no SED encryption.
The 1.92TB capacity is specified at 4.0 drive writes per day for 5 years, or 14.0 PB of total bytes written. Random 4 KB performance is 91,000 read IOPS and 53,000 write IOPS, and 128 KB sequential speeds are 550 MBps read and 510 MBps write. Sequential latency is 37 µs for reads and 38 µs for writes, random latency is 104 µs for reads and 47 µs for writes, and active-write power averages 3.3 W.
Data reliability is better than 1 error in 10^17 bits read and MTBF is 2,000,000 hours. Shock tolerance is 1,000 G at 0.5 ms both operating and non-operating, and vibration is 2.17 GRMS operating from 5 to 700 Hz and 3.13 GRMS non-operating from 5 to 800 Hz. Full end-to-end data path protection, enhanced power loss data protection and thermal throttling are built in.
