The WS-C4507R+E is a Cisco Catalyst 4500-E Series 7-slot chassis that is redundant-supervisor capable. It ships with a fan tray and no power supply, and it occupies 11 rack units.
Slots 3 and 4 are dedicated to supervisor engines, which supports 1+1 supervisor redundancy, and slots 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 are for line cards. Switching capacity is up to 48 Gbps per line-card slot, or 24 Gbps per slot with a Supervisor Engine 6-E or 6L-E.
Supported supervisors are the Supervisor Engine 8-E, 8L-E, 7-E, 7L-E, 6-E and 6L-E.
There are two power supply bays and at least one supply is required. Supported supplies are 1000 W AC, 1400 W AC, 1300 W ACV, 2800 W ACV, 4200 W ACV, 6000 W ACV, 9000 W ACV, 1400 W DC (triple input) and 1400 W-DC-P.
The single fan-tray bay holds a tray with independent fans, so the system keeps running if one fan fails. The chassis measures 19.19 x 17.31 x 12.50 in (48.74 x 43.97 x 31.70 cm) and weighs 44.50 lb (20.19 kg) with the fan tray.
