IBM feature #AH12 is a 10 GB Ethernet adapter with 4-port host optics. It provides one I/O adapter with four 10 Gb Ethernet ports and Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP+) transceivers, and it is used to add 10 Gb iSCSI and FCoE connectivity. The maximum quantity is 1. It is used in the IBM SAN Volume Controller model 2145-DH8 and for the control enclosure models 9846-AC3 and 9848-AC3 of the IBM FlashSystem V9000.
On the 2145-DH8 the card is a 4-port 10 Gb Ethernet card that comes with four SFP+ transceivers, one card is allowed per node, and it sits in slot 2 or slot 5. Slot 5 requires the second processor and 64 GB of memory. Only one 10 GbE card is allowed in a node, and it supports iSCSI and FCoE connectivity.
On the V9000 AC3 control enclosure, #AH12 has corequisites. One of these combinations is required: three #AH44 on the AC3 with two #AF19 on the AE2 storage enclosure; two #AH44 on the AC3 with two #AF19 on the AE2; three #AH11 on the AC3 with two #AF19 on the AE2; two #AH11 on the AC3 with two #AF19 on the AE2; one #AH10 and two #AH11 on the AC3 with two #AF18 on the AE2; or two #AH10 and two #AH11 on the AC3 with two #AF18 on the AE2. If three #AH44 are ordered, zero or one #AH12 can be ordered on the AC3, and if four #AH44 are ordered, no additional adapters can be ordered on the AC3.
