IBM feature #ES0S is a 775 GB SFF-2 4k SSD for AIX/Linux. It is one of the 387 GB and 775 GB 4k solid-state drives that IBM offers in two carrier types for the POWER8 Power S822 (machine type 8284-22A), Power S814 (8286-41A) and Power S824 (8286-42A), and it is also available for the Power E850 (8408). The SFF-2 carrier is the one for the Gen2 slots of the EXP24S SFF Gen2-bay drawer, while the SFF-3 carriers are for the Gen3 bays of the system unit, where the 775 GB drive is #ES0W.
The maximum quantity of #ES0S is 336 on the Power S822, S814 and S824 and 768 on the Power E850, with AIX and Linux support. On the 8284-22A, 8286-41A and 8286-42A it can be ordered on the initial order or as an MES upgrade. Feature #EQ0S is a quantity of 150 of #ES0S for those three machine types.
The IBM i version of the drive is #ES0T, 775 GB SFF-2 4k SSD for IBM i, and on the Linux-only Power S812L and S822L servers the 775 GB SFF-2 4K drive is #EL4S. For IBM i configurations with VIOS, #ES0S is the 775 GB SFF-2 4k feature, with support in both IBM i 7.2 and IBM i 7.1.
