IBM feature #ES0Q is a 387 GB SFF-2 4K SSD for AIX/Linux. It is available for the Power S822 (8284-22A), the Power S814 and S824 (8286-41A and 8286-42A) and the Power E870 and E880 (9119-MME and 9119-MHE), all built on POWER8 technology. The drive is mounted in the Gen2 (SFF-2) carrier, the one used by the gen2 slots of the EXP24S SFF Gen2-bay Drawer (#EL1S), which takes up to 24 SAS SFF Gen2 disks.
The maximum quantity is 336 on the S822, S814 and S824, and the operating system support is AIX and Linux. On the E870 and E880 the drive is one of the disk options for the EXP24S drawer, again for AIX and Linux.
The 387 GB and 775 GB 4K SSDs come in two carriers: SFF-3 for the CEC gen3 bays and SFF-2 for the EXP24S slots. IBM i 7.2 and 7.1 support the family. IBM i partitions that run under VIOS use this 387 GB SFF-2 4k SSD, and native IBM i partitions use the matching IBM i feature #ES0R. The 775 GB SFF-2 4K counterpart for AIX and Linux is #ES0S.
