IBM feature #AC8D is the 800GB 2.5 Inch Flash Drive for the second-generation IBM Storwize V5000, machine type 2077. It is available for the V5010 SFF control enclosure Model 124, the V5020 SFF control enclosure Model 224, the V5030 SFF control enclosure Model 324 and the SFF expansion enclosure Model 24F, and also for the Storwize V5030F all-flash models AF3 (control enclosure) and AFF (expansion enclosure). The drive is installed at the plant or in the field.
The second-generation V5000 supports 2.5-inch flash drives of 400 GB, 800 GB, 1.6 TB and 3.2 TB, which are features #AC8C, #AC8D, #AC8E and #AC8F on the 2077 machine type. The 800 GB drive on the 2078 machine type is feature #AC9D. All drives are dual-port and hot-swappable, and drives of the same form factor can be intermixed within an enclosure.
Every SFF enclosure model has twenty-four slots for 2.5-inch SAS drives, with 12 Gb SAS ports for expansion enclosure attachment. A V5030 system scales to 504 drives with twenty expansion enclosures, and the V5020 and V5010 systems scale to 264 drives with ten.
