IBM feature #ESJ6 is a 7.45 TB Mainstream SAS 4k SFF-2 solid-state drive for AIX and Linux, CCIN 5B2F. It is a 2.5-inch SAS SSD in a Gen2 (SFF-2) carrier with 4224-byte sectors. The feature is orderable for the Power S914, S922 and S924 (machine type 9009), the Power L922 (9008, Linux), the Power H922 and H924 (9223), the Power E950 (9040) and the Power E980 (9080), and the Power E1050 (9043) supports it.
Mainstream SSDs, previously called read-intensive SSDs, are rated at 1 drive write per day over five years, equal to 13,601 TB of total bytes written on the 7.45 TB capacity. The drive does not support 4096-byte JBOD sectors or 5xx sector formatting. The maximum quantity is 336 on the Power S914, S922, S924, L922, H922 and H924, 768 on the Power E950 and 2016 on the Power E980. A pack of 150 drives is ordered as #ERJ6.
CCIN 5B2F is also carried by #ESJ7, the IBM i version of the same SFF-2 SSD, with pack #ERJ7, and by #ESHN, with pack #ERHN. FRU numbers 01LU804, 01LU901, 02YC594, 02YC645 and 02YC704 are assigned to CCIN 5B2F. In an EXP24SX (#ESLS) drawer the SFF-2 drive is run by a PCIe3 SAS RAID adapter such as #EJ0L or #EJ14, and it does not fit the SFF-3 bays of a system unit.
