IBM feature #ADT2 is a 1.92 TB NVMe flash drive for the IBM FlashSystem 7200 (machine type 2076) and the IBM FlashSystem 7300 (machine type 4657). It is an industry-standard 2.5-inch (SFF) NVMe drive that installs in the NVMe drive slots of the control enclosure, which holds up to 24 NVMe drives. All drives are dual-port and hot-swappable, and the industry-standard NVMe flash drives for these systems are self-encrypting.
On the FlashSystem 7200 the 1.92 TB drive is one of five industry-standard capacities, 800 GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB, 7.68 TB and 15.36 TB, alongside the IBM FlashCore Modules and the storage class memory drives. On the FlashSystem 7300 the industry-standard capacities are 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB, 7.68 TB, 15.36 TB and 30.72 TB.
On the FlashSystem 7200 industry-standard NVMe drives need a minimum of two drives, varying by RAID type, with traditional RAID 10, distributed RAID 6 and distributed RAID 5 supported. On the FlashSystem 7300 the supported arrays are DRAID 6 (6 to 128 drives), DRAID 1 (2 to 16 drives) and DRAID 5 (4 to 128 drives, by RPQ only). On both systems the industry-standard NVMe drives in one RAID array must have the same capacity.
