Intel built the S3500 on 20 nm MLC flash with a 6 Gbps SATA link. Lenovo pitches it at read-intensive work, such as content delivery and analytics, where cost per read IOPS matters more than write endurance.

The S3500 product guide lists other 800GB part numbers, not this one, at 450 TB written, 75,000 read and 11,500 write IOPS, 500 MBps read and 450 MBps write sequential rates and 5 W typical power. Treat these as the family figures for this capacity.
