"418399-001 is an HPE spare part number. PartSurfer describes it as a 146GB hot-plug dual-port SAS hard disk drive running at 10,000 RPM with a 3Gb/sec transfer rate, in the 2.5-inch small form factor, Enterprise class.
PartSurfer lists it under option 418367-B21, the HPE 146GB 3G SAS 10K RPM SFF (2.5-inch) Dual Port Enterprise hard drive. A second spare appears under that option: 507284-001, a 300GB SAS drive at 6Gb/sec and 10,000 RPM, 2.5-inch SFF, hot plug, dual port, marked for use with Gen7 or earlier models.
The 418399-001 record itself does not name a carrier type or a server generation. PartSurfer marks the other spare under that option for Gen7 or earlier models.
HPE describes its Enterprise drives as the Mission Critical class, intended for high-I/O uses such as email, ERP and CRM systems. According to the HDD QuickSpecs, HPE drive firmware is qualified to remove firmware and O/S incompatibilities on ProLiant, Apollo, blade and Synergy platforms.
Fit check: a 2.5-inch SAS bay running at 3Gb/s or faster on an HPE server that takes option 418367-B21, and a label reading 418399-001 or 418367-B21. Later 2.5-inch 10K SAS options on this site include 652564-B21 (300GB 6G) and 652583-B21 (600GB 6G)."
