4XB7A13646 (feature code B4A6) is the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch PM1643 7.68TB Capacity SAS 12Gb hot-swap SSD. The PM1643 is a high-capacity server SSD for read-intensive workloads, based on Samsung 64-layer V-NAND and TLC flash, and it has an active-active dual-port 12 Gbps SAS host interface.
The 7.68TB capacity reaches 230,000 random read IOPS and 40,000 random write IOPS with 4 KB blocks, plus 1,000 MBps sequential read and 1,000 MBps sequential write with 128 KB blocks. Typical power is 9 W for both reads and writes. The drive supports up to 16 initiators with a command queue depth of up to 128 and complies with the SAS-3, SPL-3, SBC-4, SPC-4 and SAM-5 standards.
Endurance is 1 drive write per day over 5 years, with 14,016 TB total bytes written and an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. Data reliability is better than 1 unrecoverable error in 10^17 bits read. Samsung power-loss protection, end-to-end data protection and S.M.A.R.T. support are included. The 2.5-inch drive is 15 mm high, 70 mm wide and 100 mm deep without its tray and weighs 158 g.
