4XB7A17146 (feature code BCFW) is the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch U.2 P5500 3.84TB Read Intensive NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 hot-swap SSD. It is built on the Intel SSD D7-P5500 series, a general-purpose yet high-performance NVMe family with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, designed for greater performance and endurance in a cost-effective design.
The 3.84TB capacity reaches 780,000 random read IOPS and 118,000 random write IOPS with 4 KB blocks, plus 7.0 GBps sequential read and 3.5 GBps sequential write over PCIe 4.0. Sequential latency is 10 µs for reads and 12 µs for writes, and random latency is 78 µs for reads and 17 µs for writes. Average power is 12.5 W reading and 18 W writing.
Endurance is 1 drive write per day over 5 years, with 7.0 PB total bytes written and an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. Data reliability is better than 1 unrecoverable error in 10^17 bits read, and the drive has no SED encryption. It is 15 mm high, 70 mm wide and 100 mm deep and weighs 146 g.
