4XB7A79648 (feature code BNF5) is the ThinkSystem 2.5" U.3 7450 PRO 3.84TB Read Intensive NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 HS SSD, drive model MTFDKCB3T8TFR-1BC15ABYY. Every drive in the 7450 PRO family has SED encryption as standard (TCG Opal), so the contents stay protected when the drive leaves the server.
At 3.84TB the drive reaches 1,000,000 random read IOPS and 180,000 random write IOPS with 4 KB blocks, plus 6800 MBps sequential read and 5300 MBps sequential write with 128 KB blocks. Random latency is 80 µs for reads and 15 µs for writes. Typical power is 10.5 W reading and 14.0 W writing.
Endurance is 1.0 drive write per day over five years, or 7000 TB total bytes written, with an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. Data reliability is better than 1 uncorrectable error in 10^17 bits read. Capacities up to 3.84TB use a 7 mm drive body, while the 7.68TB and 15.36TB sizes are 15 mm; the drive is 70 mm wide and 100 mm deep, and the family weighs 70 g without the tray.
