4XB7A87525 (feature code BWKM) is the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch PM893a 960GB Read Intensive SATA 6Gb hot-swap SSD, drive model MZ7L3960HELT-00A07/00B07. Every PM893a drive carries SED encryption as standard (TCG Opal), so the contents stay protected when the drive is taken out of a server. The series is a general-purpose Samsung PM893a SSD line with capacities up to 7.68TB.
At 960GB the drive reaches 97,000 random read IOPS and 31,000 random write IOPS with 4 KB blocks, plus 560 MBps sequential read and 530 MBps sequential write with 128 KB blocks. Random latency is 120 µs for reads and 40 µs for writes. Typical power is 2.1 W reading and 3.2 W writing.
Endurance is 1 drive write per day over 5 years, with 1,752 TB total bytes written and an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. Non-operating shock is 1,500 G at 0.5 ms and non-operating vibration is 20 G from 20 to 2,000 Hz. The drive is 7 mm high, 70 mm wide and 100 mm deep without its tray.
