708907-001 HP BladeSystem c7000 OA Battery

The 708907-001 is the battery for the Onboard Administrator (OA) in the HP BladeSystem c7000 enclosure. HPE names 708907-001 as the replacement OA battery. The part is battery M4T28-BR12SH1, and it is used in BLc7000 enclosures: the BLc7000 configure-to-order 3 In LCD Base and 3 IN LCD Enclosure units, the C7000 GS Mailbox Dpm Rack and the StorageWorks ExDS9100 System Performance Chassis.

M4T28-BR12SH1 is a SNAPHAT battery top from STMicroelectronics: a 48 mAh lithium coin cell with a crystal. It is a detachable power source for serial real-time clock and non-volatile TIMEKEEPER chips in 28-pin and 44-pin SOIC packages. The battery is keyed to seat one way only, and it is removable for replacement and proper disposal.

The Onboard Administrator is a removable module of the c7000 enclosure. To remove it, disconnect all cables, press the release tab, open the handle and pull the module out. For best cooling, the enclosure should not run for extended periods with more than one component or blank removed; an active component is replaced with a blank.
