HPE's Ethernet Adapters QuickSpecs list P10097-B21 as the Broadcom BCM57416 Ethernet 10Gb 2-port BASE-T OCP3 Adapter for HPE, an OCP 3.0 network card with two RJ-45 copper ports. It appears in HPE's adapter tables for both Gen10 Plus and Gen11 servers. PartSurfer gives its spare as P13640-001.
BASE-T is the deciding feature: it runs 10GbE over twisted-pair copper cabling to RJ-45 switch ports, with no optics or DAC cables, and auto-negotiates down to 1Gb for older switches. That makes it a fit where the rack already has 10GBASE-T top-of-rack switches or structured copper cabling. The trade-off is power: HPE lists 14.6 W typical and 16.1 W maximum, against 11.6 W typical for the SFP+ version.
The card uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 link. Features include RoCE v1 and v2 RDMA, SR-IOV with 128 virtual functions per chip, NPAR with 8 or 16 physical functions, VXLAN/NVGRE/GENEVE tunnel offload, DPDK, UEFI and legacy PXE boot, UEFI iSCSI remote boot, and a hardware root of trust with authenticated updates and secure boot. HPE recommends the same adapter at both ends of a RoCE link.
Siblings: P26253-B21 is the same BCM57416 chip on a stand-up PCIe card for servers without a free OCP slot. P26256-B21 is the BCM57412 10Gb 2-port SFP+ OCP3 adapter for fiber or DAC connections.
To confirm fit, check that the server has an open OCP 3.0 slot (Gen10 Plus or later) and that your switch ports are 10GBASE-T or 1000BASE-T.
