The Cisco C9K-T1-FANTRAY is the fan tray for the High Performance Catalyst 9500 switches C9500-24Y4C, C9500-48Y4C and C9500-32QC. Each of these switches takes two fan tray units with dual-stacked fans, and C9K-T1-FANTRAY= is the spare form.
A switch using these trays needs both trays installed with all fans operating normally in order to run. A tray keeps working if one of its fans fails, but the individual fans are not replaceable, so the whole fan unit is changed. The switch supports hot swapping of the fan module, and a fan module should be replaced within 5 minutes to avoid overheating the switch.
Each tray has a Fan LED, and a green LED in the top left corner of a fan is on while that fan is operating. The C9K-T2-FANTRAY= is a different tray, for the C9500-32C, which needs at least four fans operating normally, and the two trays are not interchangeable between those switch models.
