IBM feature #ADSG is a 19.2TB FlashCore Module 4 (FCM4) for the IBM FlashSystem 7300, machine type 4657. Each feature provides one NVMe FlashCore Module 4, and it is supported on Models 924 and U7D only.
An FCM4 can be intermixed with FCM3 modules in an array, and it is functionally equivalent to an FCM3 when intermixed. An array made up entirely of FCM4 modules is required for FCM4-specific functionality and increased performance. Intermixing with FCM3 (features ADSA to ADSD) is allowed on an MES order.
The minimum required is 0 and the maximum allowed is 24, which is also the initial order maximum. Both the minimum and the maximum apply to the total quantity of all NVMe drive features (features ADSx and ADTx) in the FS7300 control enclosure. When feature 5555 is present on the order, the maximum allowed is 255.
Customer setup is supported, and #ADSG is installable at the plant or in the field.
