This is the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch 2.4TB 10K rpm SAS 12Gb hot-swap HDD v2, Lenovo feature code BRG7 (option 4XB7A83970). It is a 512e (512-byte emulation) drive without self-encryption, and Lenovo Press lists it as current.

The v2 drive covers newer ThinkSystem servers than the original 2.4TB 10K drive. Lenovo Press lists it for the SR635 V3, SR655 V3, SR645 V3, SR665 V3, ST650 V3, SR630 V3, SR650 V3, SR850 V3, SR860 V3, ST250 V3 and SR250 V3; the SR650 V4, SR650a V4, SR850 V4 and SR860 V4; and the V2-era ST250 V2, ST650 V2, SR630 V2, SR650 V2, SN550 V2, SR850 V2 and SR860 V2, plus the AMD SR655 and SR665.

The earlier drive, 7XB7A00069 (feature B0YS), has the same description without v2 and is listed for the first ThinkSystem generation instead: SR630, SR650, SR530, SR550, SR570, SR590, ST550, ST250, SR250, SR850, SR850P, SR860, SR950, SD530, SN550 and SN850. The two are not listed for the same servers, so the server generation decides which one to buy. A FIPS self-encrypting v2 version is 4XB7A84038 (BRG8), and Lenovo lists a separate SR630 V4 version, 4XB7B01771 (C91T), for that server.

To confirm fit, read the server model and generation from its label or XClarity Controller and check it against the lists above. In a RAID array, match the replacement to the existing drives' capacity, speed and 512e sector format.
