N9K-C9300-FAN2 is the Nexus 9300 Fan 2 module with port-side intake airflow. Cisco names it "Nexus 9K Fan 2, Port-side Intake".
Cisco shows the intake version with burgundy coloring. The N9396PX takes three fan modules, two for operation and one for redundancy. Cisco warns that every fan and power supply in the switch must share one airflow direction, because mismatched airflow can make the switch overheat and shut down.
The N9K-C9300-FAN2-B is the same fan with port-side exhaust airflow and blue coloring. For the power supply with matching intake airflow, Cisco lists the N9K-PAC-650W.
Lifecycle: Cisco announced end of life on August 31, 2019. The last day to order was November 30, 2019, and the last ship date was February 28, 2020. The notice names no replacement part number for this fan. The spare number is N9K-C9300-FAN2=, which Cisco also describes as Port-side Intake.
