Cisco lists the N9K-C93600CD-GX as a 1RU Nexus switch with 28 x 100/40G QSFP28 ports and 8 x 400/100G QSFP-DD ports. The QSFP28 ports are downlinks at 40 or 100G and the QSFP-DD ports are uplinks at 40, 100 or 400G. Bandwidth is 12 Tbps at 4.0 billion packets per second, with an 80 MB system buffer.
Breakout supports 2 x 50G on all ports, 4 x 10G and 4 x 25G on odd ports, and 4 x 100G on converted downlinks (ports 29 to 36). 10G is available with a QSA adapter. The control plane has a 4-core CPU, 32 GB of system memory and a 128 GB SSD, and management is by RJ-45 and SFP management ports, one USB port and an RS-232 serial port.
It runs as an ACI spine or ACI leaf. The minimum ACI image is ACI-N9KDK9-14.2(2e) and the minimum NX-OS image is NXOS-9.3.3. Cooling is six fan modules (5+1 redundancy), NXA-FAN-35CFM-PI for port-side intake or NXA-FAN-35CFM-PE for exhaust. Power is two 1100 W supplies in 1+1 redundancy: NXA-PAC-1100W-PI2 or PE2 (AC), NXA-PDC-1100W-PI or PE (DC), and NXA-PHV-1100W-PI or PE (HVAC/HVDC). The accessory kit is NXK-ACC-KIT-1RU.
The chassis is 1.72 x 17.37 x 25.5 in (4.37 x 44.13 x 64.8 cm) and weighs 28 lb (12.7 kg). Operating temperature is 0 to 40 C.
In the same GX series, the N9316D-GX has 16 x 400/100G ports at 12.8 Tbps, and the N9364C-GX is a 2RU switch with 64 x 100/40G ports and 2000 W supplies.
