HPE P01367-B21 96W Smart Storage Lithium-ion Battery with 260mm Cable Kit

P01367-B21 is the HPE 96W Smart Storage Lithium-ion Battery with 260mm Cable Kit. HPE PartSurfer maps it to spare part 871266-001, a 96 W Smart Storage Battery whose description says one battery pack provides flash-backed write cache for all the drive controllers in the server, connects to the system I/O board, and has a 260 mm (10.2-inch) cable.

HPE's ProLiant ML350 Gen10 QuickSpecs list P01367-B21 under optional upgrades. The notes say it provides backup power for multiple HPE Smart Array controllers or other devices, is required with performance RAID controllers, and replaces 875242-B21. The same QuickSpecs say the performance RAID controllers in that server, such as the P816i-a SR Gen10 and P824i-p MR Gen10, need either this battery or the HPE Smart Storage Hybrid Capacitor with 260mm cable, P02381-B21.

HPE limits the hybrid capacitor to Gen10 or newer servers with suitable system BIOS, and it cannot be used in servers that have NVDIMMs. The ProLiant DL380 Gen10 QuickSpecs list a different cable length for that server: the 96W battery with 145mm cable kit, P01366-B21, and the 145mm hybrid capacitor, P02377-B21.

Fit check: match the cable length to the server, 260mm for the ML350 Gen10 or 145mm for the DL380 Gen10.

HPE says performance RAID controllers need this battery or a capacitor such as P02381-B21, and the DL380 Gen10 uses the 145 mm P01366-B21; see HPE Cables, Batteries, Adapters and Parts.
