HPE P24467-B21 Intel Xeon Gold 6226R Processor Kit for ProLiant DL380 Gen10

HPE packages the Xeon Gold 6226R for the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 as kit P24467-B21: per PartSurfer it holds the processor (spare P25094-001), a high-performance heat sink (875071-001) and a standard fan module (875075-001). Intel's specifications give the 6226R 16 cores and 32 threads at 2.90 GHz base and 3.90 GHz turbo, 22 MB of cache, a 150 W TDP, 2 UPI links and DDR4-2933 memory support up to 1 TB per socket; it is a 2nd Gen Xeon Scalable (Cascade Lake) part launched in Q1 2020.

HPE ships processors above 130 W, plus a short list of exceptions, with the high-performance heatsink; at 150 W the 6226R kit carries the high-performance one. HPE's QuickSpecs pair a first-socket -L21 processor with a matching -B21 kit for the second socket; the 6226R -B21 kit adds two fans, and the two processors must be identical models. HPE also states that field upgrades from 1st Gen (x1xx) to 2nd Gen (x2xx) processors are not supported, so a 6226R pairs with a server already running 2nd Gen Xeon Scalable processors.

Its nearest sibling is the 6226 (kit P02501-B21): Intel lists 12 cores at 2.70 GHz and 125 W, launched Q2 2019. Intel has issued an End of Servicing Updates notice for the 6226R, with updates ending June 30, 2025. HPE pre-configured DL380 Gen10 models built on the 6226R include P40423-B21, P56965-B21. To confirm fit, check that the server is a DL380 Gen10 and that any processor already installed is also a 6226R.
