R4H18A is the HPE Aruba Networking AP-575 (US), an outdoor Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point in the 570 Series. The AP-575 is the model with built-in omnidirectional antennas, 5 dBi on 5 GHz and 3.4 dBi on 2.4 GHz, so no external antennas are needed. The US designation is the regulatory domain for North America.
The two radios are 5 GHz 4x4 MIMO and 2.4 GHz 2x2 MIMO, concurrent. On 5 GHz it supports four spatial streams with 160 MHz channels for up to 4.8 Gbps to a single client, and downlink MU-MIMO, uplink and downlink OFDMA, and ClientMatch are included. The 2.4 GHz radio reaches up to 575 Mbps with two streams at HE40. Each radio supports up to 512 associated clients and 16 BSSIDs. Bluetooth 5 and an 802.15.4 radio are built in for location and IoT use.
Two Ethernet ports provide the uplinks: E0 is a SmartRate RJ-45 port for 100/1000/2500BASE-T, and E1 is a 100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 port. Both take 802.3at or 802.3bt PoE, class 4 or higher, and the pair supports link aggregation. Worst-case consumption is 32.0 W when powered over both ports and 26.1 W over a single port. The console is a USB-C port.
The housing is rated IP66/67, tolerates 200 hours of ASTM B117 salt spray and survives winds up to 165 mph, and the unit is plenum rated under UL2043. It measures 24 x 24 x 27 cm (9.4 x 9.4 x 10.6 in) and weighs 2.5 kg (5.6 lb) without the mount. Mounting kits are separate parts.
