S4A22A is the HPE Aruba Networking AP-725 (RW) Tri Radio 2x2 Wi-Fi 7 Internal Antennas Campus Access Point, the RW model of the 720 Series. Three 2x2 MIMO radios cover 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz for a 4.7 Gbps maximum tri-band aggregate data rate, with Wi-Fi 7 multi-link operation and 4K QAM.
A single RJ-45 port (E0) autosenses 100, 1000 and 2500BASE-T and takes 802.3af/at PoE at class 3 or higher. On 802.3at class 4 power the access point runs without restriction. On 802.3af class 3 power with Intelligent Power Monitoring disabled it turns off the USB port and lowers maximum transmit power by 3 dB on every radio. Worst-case consumption is 17.1 W, or 22.8 W with a 5 W USB device attached.
The integrated IoT radio can be set to Bluetooth LE 5.4 or 802.15.4/Zigbee, and a USB 2.0 Type-A port supplies up to 1 A at 5 W. Built-in downtilt antennas have a peak gain of 5.1 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5.4 dBi at both 5 GHz and 6 GHz, and a TPM and Kensington security slot are included. The unit measures 200 mm by 200 mm by 48 mm and weighs 910 g without its mount bracket; mount kits and power sources are separate parts.
