Seagate lists it as a FastFormat drive: it ships in 512e format and can be switched to 4Kn, which erases all data on the drive.
It spins at 7200 RPM, has a 256 MB multisegmented cache and a single SATA 6Gb/s port, and Seagate rates its maximum sustained transfer at 261 MB/s with random 4K QD16 performance of 170/440 IOPS read/write. Average idle power is 5.0 W. Reliability ratings are 2.5 million hours MTBF, 0.35% AFR and one nonrecoverable sector per 10E15 bits read. Operating range is 5°C to 60°C and the drive weighs 670 g.
