SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 is the Cisco 1-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Shared Port Adapter, Version 2. It provides one 10 Gigabit Ethernet port per SPA, uses 10-Gbps XFP optics as the physical interface and complies with IEEE 802.3ae. Cisco lists it for residential triple play, metro Ethernet, converged residential and business services, internet peering and inter- and intra-POP aggregation.
A SPA installs in a SPA interface processor (SIP) under Cisco Interface Flexibility (I-Flex). Cisco lists these platforms: Catalyst 6500 Series, 7600 Series, 12000 Series, XR 12000 Series, ASR 1000 Series, CRS Carrier Routing System and 10000 Series.
The XFP optics are field-replaceable. Cisco lists XFP-10GLR-OC192SR (10 km, single-mode), XFP-10GER-OC192IR (40 km, single-mode), XFP-10GZR-OC192LR (80 km, single-mode) and XFP-10G-MM-SR for use with this SPA. Both the SPA and its optics support online insertion and removal.
Cisco rates power at 19.9 W. The adapter is single height and measures 0.8 x 6.75 x 7.28 in (2.03 x 17.15 x 18.49 cm) and weighs 0.75 lb (0.34 kg). Operating range is 0 to 40 C nominal and 0 to 55 C short term.
Features include jumbo frames up to 9188 bytes, 802.1Q VLAN and 802.1ad QinQ termination, up to 8000 VLANs per SPA with 4000 802.1Q VLANs per port, MAC accounting for up to 5000 entries per SPA, and 802.3x flow control.
