GLC-GE-100FX is the Cisco 100BASE-FX SFP for Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports. It runs at 1300 nm over multimode fiber with a dual LC connector and reaches up to 2 km (6,562 ft).
Cisco gives its power as typically 1.5 W per port and up to 1.7 W, the highest figure for any module in its Fast Ethernet SFP range. The optical budget is a transmit level between -20 and -14 dBm and a receive level between -31 and -14 dBm. Operating temperature is the commercial range of 0 to 70 C, and storage is -40 to 85 C. Cisco states that the GLC-GE-100FX is not compatible with any media converter, NIC or third-party product.
Two Fast Ethernet siblings use the same 1300 nm, multimode, 2 km, dual LC optics: GLC-FE-100FX, which is rated -5 to 85 C at up to 1 W and is meant for Fast Ethernet and dual-rate Fast/Gigabit ports, and GLC-FE-100FX-RGD, the rugged version for Cisco Industrial Ethernet and SmartGrid switches and routers, rated -40 to 85 C.
Other SFP modules are in the Cisco modules category, such as the GLC-SX-MMD 1000BASE-SX SFP and the GLC-T copper SFP.
